Children’s Action Network’s mission is to harness the power
of the media on behalf of children. To that end, CAN works with advocacy
organizations nationally to promote policies that benefit children. CAN’s
National Adoption Campaign is dedicated to finding homes for the more than
114,000 children who are waiting for an adoptive family and improving outcomes
for the more than 400,000 children in foster care. The campaign includes
National Adoption Day, through which more than 35,000 children have found
permanent loving families; A Home for the Holidays, an annual special on CBS
that features inspirational stories about adoption; and Change a Child’s Life,
a series of films featuring foster youth telling their own stories in their own

P.S. ARTS is dedicated to improving the lives of children by
bringing arts education to underserved public schools and their communities.
P.S. ARTS recruits, hires, underwrites and trains professional artists to
develop curricula and teach classes during the regular school day. The
organization also works to educate and empower classroom teachers through
arts-related workshops that demonstrate how to integrate creative expression
and the arts into core academic subjects.
